Help can i switch carriers and use same phone?

I would assume you could, but you'd more than likely have to "Flash" the phone, and then you'd have to change a bunch of internal phone settings to get your Data to work with the new service. It's all really a hassle. There are plenty of better phones out there on better networks.

Yes you certainly can and it is not that hard to do. You can go with Cricket, Verizon, PagePlus and most any other CDMA Carrier. You just need to change the .prl in your phone. Over The Air (OTA) programming will take care of the rest in most cases. You can google how to do that or go to Howard Forums for more info and APN settings for data per carrier if you can't find it here.

Unlocking is for GSM phones, not CDMA. CDMA phones can be used on any CDMA carrier if they add the ESN into their system. After that, the hard part is getting data and MMS to work, which either means paying someone with the tools and know-how to do it, or doing some googling for your phone and the carrier you want to use it with, and hopefully finding the tools and correct info to do it. I was able to flash a Verizon HTC Droid Incredible to MetroPCS with full working data and MMS, but it took a bit of work and searching to find the correct info to get everything working completely.

Not trying to bump this thread, but how did you get the ESN into MetroPCS's Database, because i Successfully flashed a Verizon phone to MetroPCS , but couldnt get the esn in their database.

When you "flash" your phone, what happens is the esn is added into metros system.

But good luck with that because metro just shut down their flashing service.
