Root Can I Use Clockworkmod version 4?

Hi,

Right,I have edited my orignal post from a few horus ago as I have managed to sort a few things out but do have some questions please.

I have rooted and all seems ok.

Now...

To get fastbooting apparently I need to flash a new KDZ file to my phone - is that correct? If so - does flashing a new KDZ wipe my phone of anything?

Then after that I am best installing clockworkmod so I can make a ROM of my system - is that correct?

If so, I have version 4 of the clockworkmod - is that ok or does it have to be version 3 for the GT540?

I have heard that clockworkmod does not work properly with the GT540 and backed up ROM and other ROMs dont install on it properly - is this true and can it be replied on?

Well, I hope someone can help me out with all this as I wuld appreciate it very much indeed.

Yeah that's right, to get fastboot you need to flash a new KDZ, which will wipe your phone. If anything it's best to run the latest version of CWM. I'm using version 5.0.0.2 (I think) and have encountered more errors using older versions.

I recommend just downloading the .exe file. The put your phone in fastboot mode and connect it to your computer. Then run the .exe file and it should install recovery for you
