Help Can I use USB cable

Hi

Is it possible to get my Galaxy Note 2 to connect to the Internet via the USB cable to my Windows 7 PC rather than over WiFi?

It would be faster and also fewer radio waves going through my body(!)
e.g. If I want to browse the web or download podcasts FASTER.

Unfortunately no. :(

You can't even use a USB to ethernet adapter as Samsung didn't provide support for it within the kernel. Not sure if it has the drivers for the ethernet chipsets as well. I would have loved that. But, it's not supported (not even on the Note 10.1). Only hope would be finding someone who can cook a ROM that would support it with the necessary drivers for the ethernet chipsets and enable ethernet connectivity within the kernel.

Or by some huge miracle, Samsung decides to give us that feature (which I highly doubt).

I guess, but I would also think it will need to incorporate drivers (on the computer) to make it work as well. I know old Windows Mobile devices were able to use internet connection when connected to the computer via ActiveSync back in the day.

I honestly do not know. I would think that if an app is made, it will need to also incorporate drivers on the desktop. Possibly also require the phone to have the USB debugging enabled within the settings as well. I have no clue and just speculating.
