You need to enable R/W support with your root file manager. The way to do this varies from file manager to file manager so you will need to look for it.

Titanium Backup will do it no problems or permission adjustment, ROM toolbox's (jrummy) root browser will do it w/ permission adjustment (777)

how do u change permission with rom toolbox.Sd maid was the only app that would delete Swipe.apk

Use Root Browser and long press the file u want to get a pop-up menu where "permissions" is available. Select that and you'll see a box with other boxes inside with check marks... Select all boxes for enabling check marks. code: 0777
Hit OK. Delete APKs

maybe i am confused about what you are changing perms on, but apk's should be 644, not 777.

I use es file explorer for that sort of thing. Once you give it R/W support you can do anything you want to the files. Rename, change perms, extract zips, SMB, FTP, Drive, Dropbox, etc...It is my favorite app for file manipulation hands down.

How do u give es r/w support?

Touch the icon at the top left of the file manager window (looks like earth and phone), touch the tools tab on the left, touch root explorer, touch Mount R/W, select RW for / and /system, touch ok
