Root Can not "see" internal phone apps or files on pc using usb

Can not navigate thru phone files with pc just get internal 4g storage? I know for a fact that I could on my sequent.Any suggestions ?

No problems here.. PC - running Linux mint 15

How u checked Settings/ connect to PC? Try different ones, install drivers for better device communication
