Help can not send or receive mms

Can you provide some background?
For example, when did this issue start? What messaging app are you using? What have you done so far to try and fix the issue? Have you tried a different app? Have you changed/checked your mms settings (APN settings?)?
The more info we have, the more we can troubleshoot;)

I bought this phone pre owned from ebay ,the mms hasn't worked since I got it.I'm not sure if having a different sim card other than the sprint that the phone is has anything to do with that ,but as it was unlocked ATT was more readily available so I got that sim card. I had to get all the APN network stuff set by ATT over the phone as my mobile data wasn't working with the ATT sim .I am using the standard messaging with the phone ,I did try hangout and no mms with that either.
I'm not tech smart so it's been a struggle ,just been googling for answers and now trying forums ....next stop I will have to drive quite a distance to a sprint store to see if they can help me.lol :)
I now nothing about setting APN,proxy etc ...so I dont mess with that stuff ....ATT did reset all of that to work with there sim card though .but the mms didn't work before they did that either .
this was the description in the sellers notes ... "It is a CDMA device unlocked for CDMA carriers."

Can you double check the settings?
I think it's in the menu/settings/more/mobile networks/apn settings.
They should be set to this:
Name = ATT Phone
APN = phone
Proxy = Not set
Port = Not set
Username = Not set
Password = Not set
Server = Not set
MMSC = http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS proxy = proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port = 80
MCC = 310
MNC = 410
Authentication Type = None
APN type = default,mms,supl,hipri,fota,dun
APN protocol = IPv4
Bearer = Unspecified

If that doesn't work, replace the APN "phone" with NEXGENPHONE.

Take note of what is was set before so you can go back to it.
Taken from here:

this is what mine is set at right now ...I will try to see if something else works ,there are a couple of differences on the one you posted. thank you for taking the time ! :)
Name = NXTGENPHONE
APN = NXTGENPHONE
Proxy = Not set
Port = Not set
Username = Not set
Password = Not set
Server = Not set
MMSC = http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS proxy = proxy.mobile.att.net

Authentication Type = None
APN type = default,mms,supl,hipri
APN protocol = IPv4
APN roaming protocol =IPv4

Just for giggles, try the messaging app, "Textra".
In that app, there is a setting, or an option for mms troubles.
I forget where that setting is, as I am not using that app at the moment :)

What Android Version are you on? Just curious and it may help with further troubleshooting.

And whoops, didn't notice this until now, WELCOME TO AF!!

yup I'm a noob lol and thank you :) I will give that app a try after I try to makes some changes to the APN n what not ,if that doesn't work I'll put it back try that app :)
I've just updated to 6.0

.....snipped quote...
this was the description in the sellers notes ... "It is a CDMA device unlocked for CDMA carriers."

I just saw your edit in your previous post....I thought AT&T was GSM? I'm not that knowledgeable about the compatibility among devices and carriers with regard to CDMA and GSM. Perhaps that may be part of the issue?
Maybe someone else can chime in on that :dontknow:

I tried textra and also the minor changes in the APN etc ...the app worked but there was like a 10 minute delay time between sending and texting ...so no real answer to the problem . onward and upward I guess ....
