Help Can not use Bluetooth when audio jack is plugged in

Just so you guys know, as of the 8/31 build of JB CM10, the audio redirects properly to the Bluetooth headset like every other phone in the world does. Problem is CM10 has poor battery life, terrible LTE performance and sensitivity, along with wifi. This might be worth it though.

Thanks for the tip!! I was really really REALLY hoping a software fix was possible and that it wasn't a CDMA only hardwired thing. Here's hoping they get this build ironed out a bit...

On a side note, but still related, I did purchase the Infuse dock. The phone fits it decently well, and the audio does come out like it's supposed to via 3.5mm jack, as well as working calls through bluetooth. In addition, the Infuse dock can be had on clearance on AT&T's website, if there are any left.

The one problem, which gets old really fast, is that it clicks between each song. Quite annoying. So close...

It's an $18 free shipping plug and play fix that works stock/rooted as far as I know - at least on my Verizon S3. :D

Ok, I have the dock now, and wanted to update everyone on this. Audio quality is good, better than bluetooth, but an ever so slight downgrade from just plugging straight into the headphone with an audio cable, but it's certainly good enough.

The one thing that is annoying enough to prevent me from using it is that there is an audible click between each song. I haven't a clue how to get rid of this!! ARGHH!!! I haven't tested the dock with video or pandora output to see if the clicks persist, but as of right now, it's a bit annoying on a long trip. Otherwise, this would work really nicely, and is a pretty cheap fix for $18, not to mention getting a fully functional windshield/dash mount to use your phone as a GPS with.

Hoping my new ROM I installed might solve the audio issue. It has a custom kernel, and possibly improved car dock compatibility. We shall see...

********** worked for me on my Verizon Galaxy note 2. Had to play with the settings to get the right match for what I wanted but for 2.99 it did the job and it was a software fix. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.woodslink.android.wiredheadphoneroutingfix

I am definitely going to give this a try! This would be great for times when I don't have or don't want to use my dock.

I do want to report on the Infuse dock, however. I purchased it for half price with free shipping off AT&T's website. I have paid more money than that for other docks that were supposedly of high quality. I have also bought some cheap Chinese models online for around $5.

I have NEVER had a dock stick to the windshield as strongly as strongly as the Infuse dock. It is solid as heck, and I recommend it 100% for a naked S3 (won't fit with the case on, of course). I have also never had a windshield suction mount last this long. I am frankly amazed.

And my new ROMs did not resolve the audio pause between songs with Google's TERRIBLE stock music player, but PowerAMP has completely eliminated any skips between songs/videos/whatever when using the Infuse dock. PowerAMP is worth every penny, and works beautifully with every format of audio, including videos that you might add to your playlist just to hear the audio while on a drive.

With the Infuse dock (tested again on our long drive from Idaho to Wyoming today) I can have the music going, and it will switch to my bluetooth properly, all while securely fastening my phone to the windshield and charging it at the same time.

Win.
