Help Can someone help? It's been going on for a couple days. Touchscreen problem.

My S3 keeps 'pressing' the same spot on my phone over and over, like a ghost is touching my screen in the same spot, sometimes at random intervals. (Around the top middle-ish of my phone) it makes it impossible to navigate in my phone since whatever is in that part of the screen it may 'press' it on it's own.

texting is the worst because i can't even finish a word half the time before it presses on the contact name and opens the contact info.

how can i stop or fix this problem? =(

phone is barely a month old.

This is probably caused by one of two things. Either software misbehaving, or the scree/digitizer is busted. The first possibility can be correct by performing a factory reset either from the settings menu or from recovery. The second option can only be fixed by hardware replacement, whether done manually or through a warranty replacement. Try the first option because it's not long or difficult, though you will lose your apps and data.

Also try turning off developer options in Settings incase somethings been enabled in there :thumbup:

this actually worked i think. turned it off for a day and turned it back on. no problems since..
