Help Can someone help me with my phone? (Samsung Mega 6.3)

Swammy

Lurker
I have a Samsung Mega 6.3 SHV-E310L and I was messing around with it and trying to put a customized version of Android on it rather than use the stock Samsung OS.

I think I have bricked it.

This is the only screen I can make appear (see attached) and I don't know where to download the correct OS that will work on this device.

Does anyone have any guidance on how to do this?

Much appreciated in advance.

Try to boot into download mode and provide a picture of that screen. We will need a full model # in order to help you. Looks like CWM Recovery is installed correctly so there is a chance we can rescue it. Let me page my friend @Jfalls63 in case I get busy and can't get back to you.

The 310l is the Korean version and finding the stock firmware might not be easy. Not familiar with most of the sites that popped up on a Google search or custom Roms for it at XDA.
I'll keep looking and if anything looks promising, I'll post a link.

I found the firmware on Updato.

Thanks for the help. I do in fact have the Korean version of this phone. I booted in download mode and pressed the volume up button to go into Odin mode.

I don't really know where to go from there.

Also i have downloaded the OS from Updato but I don't know how to install it.

Here are the pics from the download mode / odin mode.

These are instructions from Sammobile. Process is the same unless firmware is split into 4 parts.

Thanks.

I did that and I'm getting closer except that now the phone boots and is stuck on the carrier logo screen.

When I turn it off and on again I'm stuck on the batter charging screen.

I tried it twice with Odin. and I am using Odin v 3.12

If flash is successful with Odin and phone reboots, first boot can take a while. Wait up to 20 min for it to sort itself out. Common for it to sit on carrier logo for long time.
After about 20 min, remove and replace battery, use the button combination to boot into recovery and preform a factory reset and try to boot again.

Thanks for the help but I tried all of that and left the carrier logo on for 2 hours. Never turned off. When I restart I just the battery logo.
