can someone please upload droid multitouch browser!!!

because every site links to alldroid and that one got deleted!

I'm probably not understanding but why don't you just download it from the market. There's a couple of good multitouch browers out there. Is there another one you are looking for?

Did the Milestone Browser get ported over?
I'd be interested in that too. I know you can't post that stuff on these forums, but could the info be PM'd to me?

The multi-touch browser is AWESOME! I used to swear by the Dolphin Browser that's on the market, but I haven't used it since getting the native one which was ported over from the Milestone.

@hockeyfreakb4 - You're rooted now, correct?

i have the milestone multitouch browser link if anyone needs it...
AllDroid - View topic - [release] Multitouch browser for Droid (2.0.1) v1.0RC1

thats the forum its located at and heres a direct link
** LINK REMOVED **

the post is from the 9th of january so it should be a recent version

** MOD EDIT ** As this has had to be modified to make it work, and it it is not open source software, it is technically illegal. You may discuss the browser, but please don't post links to the files

Would it ever be possible to use the Milestone browser without being rooted?

As it is for the time being, no. You need to install/replace files that are in the protected area of your DROID. This is what rooting does ... it gives you access to the "forbidden zone". ;)

Don't hold your breath, but there is a very substantiated rumor that the DROID will have a native multi-touch browser in the future.

@Joe We'll see...I think the huge issues is either Apples *pending* multitouch patent that they're pushing hard to get through, or Google has some kind of deal from when they worked with Apple...

I want everyone to understand that we can't and never will be posting modified software here that isn't COMPLETELY OPEN SOURCE. Discussion like this is perfectly fine, and we can even trade directions for installing it. The actual software can't be linked here so to make life easier for everyone just go to alldroig.org whenever your looking for that kind of stuff. Come back here for help with it and whatnot because honestly we are a better community for new users who need extra help, alldroid is great for dev's and HIGHLY experienced users but they don't offer a lot of help for newbies.

Seriously, just get xScope. It's faster and sleeker than the default anyway. Plus it's got a nice feature called pin zoom. And the dev is super active on these forums.
