Help can`t revert CPU default settings

vnugo

Newbie
I want to revert setting made with setcpu on my htc desire. I`m using RunnymedeROM.
I tried everything. Reinstalled several times, uninstalled too. Clear data but everythime my settings get back to 1113Mhz, and thats not default freq for htc desire. Is there some universal method to get back defult settings for htc desire?

Does reflashing or installing new ROM revert settings? Or maybe hard reset?

Thanks in advance

Are you using any app to control the CPU settings like SetCPU? Do you know if that particular ROM comes with an OC'd kernel (sorry, not familiar with that ROM)?
SetCPU is generally the best method to control how high, or low, you want to scale your CPU.

So if you set SetCPU to 245 min, 998 max with no profiles (ie. Desire defaults) what happens?

My guess is that there is something in the ROM setting this, unless you have some other cpu control app as well. But I also don't know this ROM personally.

Yes, i used SetCpu to overclock my Desire, but that was long time ago on different ROM (MIUI). I can set default settings using setcpu, but after i uninstall setcpu, it just go back to 1113Mhz. So, I dont know is it because of the ROM (i dont think so), or maybe i did something with setcpu earlier, so i cant reverse it now.

Do you have IncrediControl on there? A quick Google shows at least some Runnymede ROMs have that, and that sets cpu frequencies.

Never used it, but it's a cpu control app. Look ay its settings and see if you can set them to what you want.

I think it's part of the ROM, so you can only uninstall if S-Off. Maybe simpler just to set - I would do that before uninstalling anyway.

yeah, but this app has so minimalistic and unfriendly interface that i just cant figure out what this few options are for... but thanks anyway.

Ok, I just installed it to see. What I got has a cpu tab with 2 sliders for min and max frequency. If yours has the same you can just set them that way.

They might not look like sliders, but that's what they are.

It also has a set on boot tick box like SetCPU, so untick that and reboot and it should undo it.

The problem was because of app called daemon controller, which set cpu freq. Incredicontrol is for setting voltage. I think that my problem now i solved. Thanks!

Thanks. Interesting, as the IncrediControl I downloaded did have a frequency range setting too (actually it seemed a nice GUI for setting HAVS voltage ranges, but I have a script for doing that so decided I didn't need it. A bit of me says that messing with that type of thing shouldn't be too simple!).
