Can Tasker work with WhatsApp or Viber?

Hello Group,

I have the latest version of Tasker running in a Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with the following profiles setup. Profile one will set the phone to vibrate when it connected to my home wifi. Profile number two will disable silent mode and set set the ringer volume to level 3 so I an hear the phone when it rings when someone on the exceptions list calls me such as my mother. The problem I am running into is that some of the individuals on the exceptions all list will call me via Viber or WhatAps and in doing so I so not hear the phone ringing.

Is there a way to get Tasker to sound the ringtone when someone on the exceptions call list calls me using either WhatApps or Viber? And if so how?

Thanks for the reply. However, your profile is not going to do what I want. In addition, I already have a profile that reads out loud text messages when I am in my car. What I am looking for is the ringtone to be heard when someone on my exceptions list calls me via WhatsApp or Viber.

Check out auto notification, if you receive a toast or notice with that scenario.

HI, i have an android device. its rooted, When someone call me in viber , it appears on my screen with the person's viber photo and name just as regular call. i want to avoid this. what i want is that when someone calls me in viber i just want to hear the ringer or may be notifications in status bar just like in apple ios as in ios when someone calls in viber it doesnt show on full screeen as regular call . It keeps the confidentiality of the caller.

I have WhatsApp on my phone per a request from my son.
I just looked at it and under Custom Notifications it shows the Ringtone I already have set up for him, and is greyed out.

Still not able to build the profile to get get Tasker to ring the phone when i receive a WhatsApp call when the phone the phone is in silent mode that was set by another profile
