No problem calling anyone else just the wife. Right now just using call forwarding from home phone so I can get a hold of her (I am a truck driver so away for days at a time) Talked to provider they have a policy that they cant phyiscaly touch phones right now so here I am thanks for replying. This might not be a phone issue nor an Android issue but something tied to your cellular service. Have you tried contacting your carrier?
Is this problem only with your wife or are you having similar problems with anyone else?
It just hangs upWhat exactly happens when you try calling her number?
You may have to contact your carrier on this
NoIs her phone profile set to "DND" (Do Not Disturb)? I've accidentally done something similar before and was surprised + embarrassed, Lol. That'd be in Settings..![]()
Yes and restarted them and even factory reset nothing. Tried calling from contact list and deleting from contacts then straight dialing nothing. Got me stumped wish Metro would just touch the phones sure it is something simple I have missedOK so just to sum up --
-- the two of you can text back and forth with no problem, it's just that when she receives a phone call from you that's the problem. (... keeping in mind on both your phones, the texting apps and Phone apps rely upon the same Contacts database in your respective phones).Yes
-- both of you are using the same carrier (Metro)
-- this problem is an isolated one, only involving one scenario, you trying to call her. Yes
-- and just to clarify, the call goes through so she does hear it ringing but when she answers that's when it cuts out? No she doesn't hear it ring and doesn't show as missed call
Has this been a long-standing occurrence or did it just start happening recently? Started about a month
ago worked fine b4
You mentioned you don't have this same problem when it involves anyone else you're calling but just to confirm, does she have any problems receiving calls from others, or is it also just a matter where only an incoming phone call from you?
just from me
Do either you or her use WiFi Calling instead, or are both of you using just your carrier's cellular service for phone calls?
Which also leads to the question of does this cutoff issue happen only when you're away or is it also happening when you're local? local and away wifi or carrier
Have both of you tried re-seating the SIM cards in your phones? And restarting them. Just to rule out the problem is due to some random software glitch.
