Help Can the HTC Aria, Android 2.2 use third party apps?

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question. I just got the phone and wanted to install Gameboid, a third party .apk application.

I read that it was recently allowed to install from unknown sources, and that they would be pushing the update to the HTC Aria. I don't have a data plan currently but do have HTC Sync.

What must I do to get the update? Thanks in advance.

Try this.Use this link and follow the instructions there.Installing 3rd Party Apps - xda-developers
It may take you a while to do this, but if you want third party apps this may be the olny way to do it.
