Help can the lock screen be bypassed?

I had my phone stolen on Wednesday and I'm just wondering how safe my things are, T-Mob weren't very helpful when I asked.. they said that my number has been blocked and they have blacklisted my phone but when I asked about my content saved on the memory or accounts, passwords etc.. they didn't really have an answer for me. They did however say they can replace it for me for

That inhales sharply! Very sorry for your loss. I don't care how secure the lock screen might be.... I'd advise you to change all of your passwords. It's a good thing to do from time to time anyway and if not necessary.... no harm. As for files stored on the SD card... they can be accessed with any card reader once the card is removed from the phone, locked or not. I'm sure sorry man... what a bummer!

I can't test on the One X at the moment, but after a reboot my Nexus 7 won't let me access stuff on the internal SD Card until the PIN is entered. So I'd presume that given the way they handle the "SD Card" is essentially the same, the One X would perform in a similar way too.

As olbriar points out though, it's probably a good idea to change passwords for most of the accounts you may have had on the phone.
