Help can the menu bar on M8 be removed?

Not sure about this one yet. Supposed to get mine delivered this afternoon. :)

I know the root community is working on removing the on screen navigation buttons, so I assume these will be part of that too.

It is not possible yet, at least not on the Sprint variant. There is an option in settings > display, gestures, & buttons >Home to modify the behavior of the home button for long press menu action (which should remove the need for the menu button) Unfortunately the function is broken on the phone (reported to HTC yesterday)

Keep in mind this option is not even present on the Verizon model. Not sure about the AT&T variant.

That option is not available on the UK version either.

The option to modify was removed with today's OTA.
