Help Can these smart phones do this??

A quick down and dirty method is to turn the native voice recorder on then put the call on speaker. This should work on most any phone.

Go to Apps, and select "Voice Recorder".... on mine it's right next to the voice dialer app, and just below the total protection app.

I found Voice Recorder in apps, but it appears to work just like a tape recorder. How do you get it to record a phone conversation in progress????

I think what Killer was trying to say (he can certainly correct me if I'm wrong) is that on the prior versions you can record the calls Without being on speaker.

Even in the current version you can record both sides of the conversation IF you are on speaker.

I think there are Apps too that will allow you to record the call without being on speaker but I'm not sure.

(Keep in mind that it's a felony in Florida for you to record anyone's voice without them knowing it.)

No it's not.

Texas in one person consent. (Which happens to be where HB resides.)

True, but that goes for all voice recordings that are planning to be used in court. You just can't record two people without them knowing, that won't be admissible in court. However, just recording alone is not illegal.

I can't tell from your response whether you mean Texas or not. (Or frankly WHAT point you were trying to make. )

I couldn't care less about what is court admissible in This discussion.

What was important was what could Send You To Jail doing it.

Like taping a call in FL if BOTH parties aren't aware of it. (And that in Tx. the other party DOESN'T have to know you're taping. THAT's important to know.)

The legality of who what parties need to be aware of a phone conversation being recorded varies from state to state. I'll assume that all parties here are obeying the laws as they apply to them. That being said, lets keep the thread focused on the technical question at hand.

Thanks.:)

With all due respect, I think the risk of a felony conviction by perhaps taping and NOT Knowing the legality of doing so is AT LEAST as important for the OP (and More importantly Others here) to know as HOW to do it.

Yes, the OP just so happens to be in a state where she can clandestinely "tape" her calls.

The very vast majority of the rest of us Can't Do That and I feel Still that's important to point out.

I'd like the thread to stay on topic regarding the technical ability to record a conversation.

I wouldn't want to be hauled into a deposition for telling someone they can or cannot legally do something. I also don't want to try and know and understand the laws of all fifty states let alone the international laws that apply to this.

All members using this information are assumed to be following the law as it applies in their respective jurisdiction.

Now, lets keep the thread on topic.:)

Indeed InCall Recorder DOES appear to have much better feedbacks than most all the other call recorders.

It also places a RECORD icon on your dialer screen, at least it does on my Spirit. It can also be used as a plain vanilla voice recorder in addition to taping phone calls. That's peachy keen too.

It's on my Spirit now, Thanks!

BE SURE YOU KNOW THE PHONE RECORDING LAWS FOR YOUR STATE BEFORE YOU RECORD ANY CALLS.
(Can you say Possible Felony, sure, I Knew you could. ;) )

I installed auto call recorder (the icon is a crown). It works much better than all the others I tried (both sides record louder), it does not have many options though.
I am running stock C FW and the factory installed recorder will not record while in call.
