Help Can this Epic Touch do Bluetooth AND WiFi simultaneously?

I have the HTC EVO 4G still, and it used to be able to initially but now it can't do BT and Wifi at the same time anymore. I don't use speakerphone much and don't like holding the phone to my ear (but thats besides the point), it just annoys me that if I'm browsing or doing something internet related on my phone, if a call comes in and I answer it with my headset the wifi drops in a couple seconds.

I can still browse in call if I turn the bluetooth off but I can't have them both. Is the just something the EVO cannot do or is it a general incompatibility between Bluetooth and wifi? Does the wifi band make a difference? Cause I have N but the EVO 4G doesnt.

yep, I use BT and wifi all day, all the time..
you can't do wifi and 4g at the same time though..

Strange, I never had this issue on my evo4g. I stayed on 2.2 froyo until I upgraded to e4gt, though. I just had a really good rom that was stable and fast so I never bothered to upgrade it.

Anyway, both phones should be able to do both wifi and bluetooth simultaneously.

Okay just to be clear, I am talking about doing BT and wifi while in a call. As I said it used to work before, but since some time last year it stopped so it wasn't gingerbread (even though that brought other problems).
I'll be using the wifi and once I answer the call with the headset it drops. I can however use the bluetooth and 4G in a call.

edit: nevermind what was there I read someones response wrong about the ET4G wifi+4G. Ya I saw that on someones phone, to turn on 4G you have to turn off wifi. Don't need to do that on the EVO..

Okay.. here I am reviving a dead thread, but I just (finally) got an Epic Touch over the weekend and having the same problem. Whenever I receive a call and answer it with my BT headset, few seconds later WiFi is just dropped, tested this multiple times. When I go into wifi settings it says my router is remembered, not in range. Then right after the call is disconnected the wifi will pick back up. Also if I stop using the headset while in the call and switch to speakerphone or the normal speakers wifi will come back on in that same call.

I have no problem playing media from the internet over wifi with the headset, I have watched Netflix and Youtube listening from the headset and the signal doesnt drop. But everyone else says it they should work no problem, so could this be specific to the headset itself? I'm using a Jabra BT8010, it has a LED display and supports stereo bluetooth if that matters. I don't have any other working headsets at the moment to test that theory.

Okay no one answered but I figured this out for myself. And the problem was indeed the headset. Borrowed two other headsets today, paired them and they worked with no problems over the course of multiple calls. Guess I'll be looking for a new headset now, loved the led display though.

I had that same headset until the earclips broke. Loved it while it lasted though.

Ya one of my ear clips broke too so I took the clip off the other one I wasn't using actively (I had 2). I still love it, just can't use it with my phone anymore if I want wifi. And pretty much my only other gripe was how ugly it was, wouldn't dare wear it in public.
But it was so convenient the OLED display, I've been searching ever since for another BT headset with a display but haven't seen any. Why haven't other manufacturers added this? And they remain so expensive without half the features of the BT8010.
