Can you buy the HTC Inc. for full retail?

Can you purchase the HTC Incredible for full retail price (probably around $450) once it's released? It should be available that way too right (other than 2 year contract)? I'm still in my Droid contract just looking for other devices and I was just wondering if you could purchase this one for full retail..
 
See that's what I figured. So I'd imagine the same would be for this one.. I just want a full spec sheet on this baby! Comparing it between this and the Nexus One!
 
From what iv seen, the incredible seems PRETTY similar (just assuming from articles i have seen) to the nexus one. Maybe a different body, i guess it will come down to pricing and how well HTC/Verizon execute the programming of 2.1, because the device is only as good as its software.
 
I am guessing that full retail is going to be more than $450... I would guess at least $500 if not $550-$600.
 
Wow, $599.. That'll be a nice dent in the wallet. I think I'll wait a bit for someone to put it on Ebay then and buy it there. Or see if I can get it through Amazon or walmart for full retail cheaper.

Question: Do you guys know if it will have a Car Dock too like the Droid and Nexus has? (I just hijacked my own thread lol).
 
usually walmart is more expensive than verizon. Atleast for the devour it was 500 at bb and walmart where it is only 479 and vzw. Usually bb and walmart charge more for the phones full retail.
 
I'll be in for a full retail purchase too. I was hoping MSRP was going to be $499, but it seems like I've seen $599 on a few threads. Hopefully I can get something decent for my current device.
 
If you are patient...which I am not, you can pick it up on Ebay after a month or two for probably about $400. That's the way most of the phones like this go. I do alot of buying and selling of phones on Ebay because I like to try out different ones. Right now, you can get a new Droid on Ebay for no more than $400. After a few months, I imagine the Incredible will follow suite, they always do.
 
I think the MOST it will be is 599. However it is definitely possible that it will be priced around 529 similar to the Nexus One. Keep in mind the Droid is yes 560, but made by Motorola, and really is their Trademark Device for right now. If the HTC nexus one sells for 529 full retail, i cant see the HTC Incredible selling for much more, especially when the hardware is so similar.
 
Its $529.99 on VZW's preorder site. Where do you guys think is the best place to buy it? Can I just walk into any VZW store and buy one for full price?
 
Did you select month to month or did an full priced "upgrade". I tried month to month and the system still forces me to pick a monthly plan when I do.

Are you upgrading your account or just wanting to buy the phone?

You can't buy the phone online without signing up for service.
