Help Can you disable all network access except GPS?

I am going camping/boating and want to use EarthNC (I can cache navigational charts with it) on my Bionic.

What is the best way to conserve battery as I will be in the Everglades with no cell towers?

I know I can disable data in mobile network settings to conserve battery, but the phone still searches for signal. If I put the phone in airplane mode, GPS is disabled.

Put it in airplane mode, then go back and enable your GPS.. Works for me, just tested it with GPS Test. As long as your maps don't require a network connection (like google maps do) it might work.

That didn't work with my OG Droid. Works on Bionic though, should have just tried it first.

Thanks again.

Or you can buy spare batteries. and a stand alone charger. :)

That's my personal standard when I buy any smartphone, back up batteries and a stand alone desktop charger. :)
