My Headset Droid settings give me the ability to open apps with click-and-pause commands. I want the app currently in focus to be controlled by the button input so that I can switch to another app and control it without closing apps or taking my phone out of my pocket. But then there's such a confusing hierarchy of priority from one app to the next. I find that with PowerAMP, I can set high priority; but, if I do that, I can't control PocketCasts, even when I open up to that app. And, if I switch to UberMusic for music, it will always be usurped by PocketCasts. Since I don't want podcasts to play over my music (I can't multitask well myself), how can I reach the desired outcome? Is it possible to drastically change priority behavior like this (hence the title)?
