Can you enable wifi hotspot with this phone?

Considering upgrading to the GS3 w/ Virgin Mobile, haven't been able to find any definitive answers on whether you can enable wifi hotspot without paying and/or rooting. Found some older posts where some people stated that Foxfi did work, I'd like to know if it's still working.

been using Hotspot since I have the phone and before that with other phones. but, sorry to say, haven't needed it for the past few months. I started with PdaNet which cost ~$20 and saved me a fortune and was forced to migrate to foxfi which I used for a couple of months. I didn't get speed but it was good enough for me to spend years with it.

Yes.. root your phone and use a teathering software like my wifihotspot

I've been using hotspots to access internet for years w/o rooting. It can easily be done.
