can you hear directions on bluetooth via google navigation?

I have a HTC vivid...the gps Google nav works great thru the phone speaker as it should but, the speaker is kind of low to hear.....I just got a Bluetooth, Plantronics legend and can't seem to get it to hear the directions they still come thru the phone?....is there anyway to make it work thru the Bluetooth? otherwise I have to wear a separate ear phone plugged into the phone any help appreciated....

Have you properly paired the BT headset with your phone? I do not use your phone but my BT headset receives the nav directions just fine. I hope you can get it to work.
