Can you stop a sent text?

I accidently sent a text to the wrong person (co-worker instead of husband). I noticed it right away and sent a follow up "oops! sorry" text. But is there anyway to stop it from being sent after hitting the 'send' button?

I have an HTC Sensation.

Thanks!

I wouldn't think so. Sent texts are usually received within a couple seconds of it being sent. There is no recall button like there is on Outlook emails.

Yeah, the only way to "CANCEL" (that I know of) would be to do something to your phone that overrides the text from being sent; a la getting the battery out as fast as possible. Texts are sent so fast though that, whatever you did, it'd have to be extremely quick.

Maybe someone should send an email to one of the third party app Dev and see if they could add a delay in sending the text like 5 sec, like you have the option in doing so in Gmail, from 5 to 25 secs.

If you are using Go SMS Pro, you can go to menu>settings>advanced>send settings>enable sms confirm. That will make the app ask you everytime you hit send if you really want to send the SMS. LOL.

I remember on Symbian I had an app that shows a popup after hitting send. It says "sending in 5....4....3...2...1" and it has a red cancel button at the bottom. Can't seem to find anything similar on Android.
