Root Can you use an Nandroid backup if your phone is bricked?

Is it possible that if I make an Nandroid backup, then root my phone with mtmichealson's root method (BreakoutRoot.zip) and accidently screw up and brick my phone, can I reinstall my Nandroid backup and how?

Luckily I'm not bricked, I'm planning to root when my warranty expires though..

It depends on the level of bricking. If you perma-brick or hard brick your phone, a nandroid won't help you. If you soft brick, (get caught in a bootloop or phone just won't boot up) and you can still access your bootloader and recovery then a nandroid should be able to restore and save your phone. Sometimes even a nandroid backup won't boot after something goes wrong, but generally if you can get to your recovery there is at least some way to save your phone.

Yes, and it's pretty hard to hard brick this phone, as it has fastboot and, as far as I know, an unlocked bootloader. It's always good to exercise caution though

pls help, my smartphone is in bootloop, and when i press power button and vol + - then recovery mode of phone comes. In recovery mode when i try to update my firmware with dload folder , error comes :
update package's ext name error.
E: ota_pre_update error.
Installation aborted

So i'm not able to flash new rom and without upgrade my phone stuck with huawei logo on boot screen,
but i have earlier nandroid backup on my computer.
pls help me with nandroid recovery as i dont had cwm installed on phone.
Is it still possible that i can recover my phone

This problem arised bcoz i have rooted phone with locked bootloader. and i installed app from google play store- pimp my rom which changed my kernel settings.and after reboot phone is struck at boot screen.
