Apps Can your app get banned from posting on forums?

I'm curious..

As for promoting your app, sometimes, the best way is to post in related topic forms. For example, if you made an app showing basketball scores, and you go post in related fan websites / forums. Not that I'm going to spam their website 100 messages a minute, but often some sites will ban you for just slightest commercial pitch. When that happens, can they report to Google play, and result your app being taken down from the app market?

Hello and welcome to Android Forums.

We have very strict policies here about announcing new apps. All developers should post new apps from Google Play in http://androidforums.com/application-announcements/. Posting in other forums is considered spamming and will be summarily deleted. Too much of that will revoke your posting privileges.

I don't believe Google will remove an app from the market, just because it's being spammed on various forums. The only reason I am aware why Google will pull an app is if it violates someone else's copyright with unauthorized content, or if it's malicious.

We welcome developers who have come to help and contribute to the forums.

Yeah there's no way that Google Play will ban you for doing that. Some forums definitely will.

Definitely don't just spam on here, but you can definitely talk with other developers and announce your apps in the right places and such.
