I'm looking at buying an unlocked version of the LG G2. It must be compatible with Bell Canada's network. The version we have here is the LG G2 D803. Will the LG G2 D802 work for me?
Thanks a lot
The D802 and D803 seem to share the high speed Band 7 (2600 mhz) LTE but not the wider-availability Band 4 LTE . You should be fine for 2G/3G/4G (UMTS at least, not sure about HSPA/HSPA+) I think? Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can chime in, would hate to give you a bum steer.
Appreciate it. Lets see if others have any ideas. I wonder why its so hard to figure this out... I've looked all over the place but then... I don't know what I'm looking at.
I hear ya. It was much easier to figure out years ago when it was just GSM/GPRS and even EDGE. The charts in the links should help but there are still horror stories out there of buying partially compatible phones and/or not working as expected. Good luck.
At least, the trend nowadays within Canada on newer phones is that Bell/Telus/Rogers devices are compatible once unlocked now that CDMA is more or less not an issue like it once was.
