Root Candy5 to CM12.1 UNOFFICIAL RC5

Okay so I am currently on Candy5 and I am wanting to flash over to CM12.1 UNOFFICIAL RC5. Now can I just install twrp and reboot into recovery and backup and then flash it? How do I need to properly do this? Does anyone feel CM12.1 UNOFFICIAL RC5 is better than candy5?
 
"Better" is a subjective view. Currently, if you aren't one of those people that needs a boatload of ROM features, CM will suit you just fine. Candy5 equally is as great but with more features, it's all a matter of preference. I love both. And to answer your original question, yes, you can just boot into recovery, backup and flash, there's no special process needed for it.
