Root Canera any good on AOSP?

JonathanWhitey

For any AOSP rom, is the camera any good? Ive always heard things about AOSP having a worse camera than stock on a number of phones.

I have not rooted my phone yet as well. Can somebody give me a link to a way to root my virgin mobile s5 and put a custom recovery on it? thank you!!!

Edit: also, what is the best AOSP rom that gives me the best stock android experience? Thanks again for any help.

Towelroot supposedly does not trip the Knox warranty.

Your not going to be able to get a custom ROM without a custom recovery. Getting a custom recovery will trip the knox warranty.

I would recommend Philz recovery.

***edit***
Also, sprint, Boost Mobile and Virgin Mobile are all basically the same. I have made a thread for boost mobile links which you might find handy ;)

Any camera app software is only going to be as good as the camera hardware in a particular phone allows it to be, lens quality, imaging sensor, number of pixels, and the skill of the photographer of course. The AOSP camera itself is pretty basic feature wise, but if the camera hardware is good, you should good pictures. Got a lousy camera, you're going to have lousy pictures whatever software you use, Lomography or fake Samsungs anyone? Many stock camera apps and the ones on Google Play do have more features, but they're only software enhancements and effects.
