Cannot access wifi

Hello everybody.

I just had a problem like 1 week before, I was playing with my phone on the bed, then I fell asleep, in the morning when I waked up, the battery was 0%, and the phone was switch off, then I pluged the phone and restarted it. Then my wifi won't work anymore.

I checked the auto-connect function, and it give me :

WLAN : Disconnected

And the WLAN networks : disabled, secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK

It won't connect anymore !
I'm sure I typed correct the password.

My phone :

Model number : WTE-T U880
Android version : 2.2.2

Hoping someone will come and help me.

Im posting it here, cause I don't know if I posted the first topic in the right place.

I just had my Galaxy S3 rooted yesterday. And, the tech told me "it should be fine" after he also loaded the wifi app and tested it with his cellphone. I got home and the cellphone seemed reluctant to connect, but finally did. I watched 45 minutes of Youtube videos after losing the signal a couple of times and then...... it disconnected for good and as of yet, when I press the wifi app. it turns to the bright yellow as is should and says I have access (as it should) but there is no "android" listed in my wireless possibilities. I have two laptops. Both connected for 45 minutes last night and now, neither of them seem to get the wireless signal from the rooted Galaxy S3?? Another strange thing is when I press the yellow wifi icon to disconnect, I see two icons on my screen one grey and one yellow and a note that says, something like "Your phone is in an unknown state; try to reboot". But, rebooting does not fix anything. Could it be that the root was not done exactly correctly or is there another direction I should look? Thanks in advance.

Resetting my phone, is of no use at all ! It just delete my contact :(. Wifi still not working. Need some help.

Since your phone went down to 0% charge (actually it was probably 5% when it shut off) you might check to see if the wifi wasn't shut off as a power saving measure. Go to menu>settings>wifi and make sure it's on.

If it is, then have you tried pulling the battery out and let it sit for an hour or so and then replace it and reboot?

Download WiFi connection fixer. Don't know if it helps, but it's worth the shot.
If your phone is rooted, then you can backup your contacts, I guess. So nothing gets lost for good if you need to recover it :)
