Cannot add Exchange 2010 mailbox to EMAIL options jellybean 4.1.2

I cannot add Exchange 2010 mailbox to the EMAIL options in jellybean 4.1.2.

This works fine on every other iPhone device I have setup for where I work. I'm the IT Admin and chose to go with Android for my first smartphone and now I'm having problems doing the most basic things.

The usual error I'm getting is this:
"couldn't finish
the server responded with an error. check your username and password then try again"

I have done this countless times and know that the username/password are correct, however I have seen discrepancies on the web about how these should be typed in for Android phones.

Also, when I try to add the mailbox to EMAIL on the phone, if I do not select "Accept all SSL certificates" I get an error stating there is something wrong with the SSL certificate. When I do select "Accept all SSL certificates" the SSL error goes away and the above server error message displays instead.

What am I doing wrong? Does my phone need to be wiped or updated or what?

This is a Motorola Photon Q 4G, brand new

I'm experiencing the same thing. I'm seeing everyone's response and I've tried it all and all variations thereof...ie domain\username, email name, server name, delete account, wipe phone, certificate, no certificate...it seems that the closest I get is the Pks certificate option but am having trouble finding it to download. Is it Free? Where do I get it?
