cannot add network printer

Hi - hope some can help please - I am stuck!

I am trying to print from a Samsung S8 (and also A5) to a network printer.
I have googled options and added a few plugins. All seem to get stuck at the same point - I click add printer and it asks me to enter IP address. I enter the IP address of my print server and it then says no printer found (exact error message depending on which plugin I use).

I am using a printer connected to a print server. To print from my Windows machines on the same network, I am printing to "http://192.168.0.254:631/printers/billion" where "billion" is the name of my HP printer.

Any ideas?

What printer is it? Does it allow to print wirelessly?

Does your printer have an app in the Play Store? For example, if it's an HP printer:

192.168.x.x is a local network, no need to remove.

HP LJ1010 (I know, a little elderly!) And no, not wireless.

Yes, got the HP app - same issue though.

Unfortunately that model isn't listed for their app at HP Printers - Mobile Printing Solutions Compatible with HP Printers:

I also found this HP Print Service Plugin:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04024231
...but the list of compatible printers is the same as above so it's not compatible either.
