Help Cannot connect to network

For 6 months or more I've not been able to text or make calls from my S3 but data is fine. If I try to call it says "Not Connected to Network". It used to work fine & the only thing

Orange sent me a new sim. That didn't work.

I put a friends sim in my phone (different provider), that worked. Which implies its the sim.
I put my sim in his phone & that worked. Which implies its not the sim, maybe to do with orange and my phone?

Most weird of all is when I went to Italy with my phone & sim I could make calls and text...

Anyone any ideas on what I should do?
 
i found out this morning it doesn't work with my wifes orange sim so i think you are right it is my phone connecting to orange.
 
If you make calls regularly and from now you can't cannot to the internet. There are several reasons may be like- server don't response at this time, your net package expired, or your net connect has disconnected already. So, check all of the properly in order to connect again.
 
Hi

It sounds like your phone is blocked on the Orange phone (but not data) network for some reason (using IMEI number?) I would get in touch with them (again)
