I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0)

About a month or so ago, I turned on my tablet to play a WiFi game and it said I didn't have any connection. So I went to my settings>>WiFi. It told me this "To see available networks, turn on Wi-Fi". I have my own WiFi network called "D-Link" and it has very strong connection. I tried to turn it on, but I was unable to toggle it from off to on. And whenever I did, It wouldn't turn green to indicate that Wifi has been turned on. When I toggled it from off to on it stays in the on position for a few seconds, then it toggles back to off. I tried again and again. It wouldn't turn on the WiFi. It was working fine yesterday, WiFi and all, and I've had this tablet for more than over a year, because I gotten it 2 Christmas's ago. 2 days later I took it to my local Best Buy store to get it checked out. She was stumped and didn't know why it was doing that. She put my tablet on safe-mode, and tried turning the volume up on the tablet start-up, but neither got my tablet's WiFi back. After I got home, I did the stupid idea and restored my tablet back to my factory settings and deleted all my purchased apps I had on there, thinking that I would get my WiFi back with that way, but that didn't work either. I really want to know what's going on, and how to fix it. And sorry if this was too long or confusing. Oh and by the way, my tablet does have a cracked screen, if you needed to know that. My mom "thinks" that if you have a cracked tablet screen then your WiFi will just stop working out of the blue. I don't believe her because if I got my screen fixed the WiFi still won't come back on anyways. So anyways, thanks for reading this and I hope you can help me get my WiFi back! Thank you (:

1) Just FYI - running in safe mode and resetting to get rid of all your apps does about the same thing. Safe mode runs only the apps that came with the phone. If just saves you from having to add your email account, reinstall all your apps, etc., when you want to go back to normal.

2) That "turns on, then turns off by itself" problem usually indicates that the wifi radio went bad. They do - it's a fact of life. And, unless you cracked the screen by dropping it from a few feet onto a very hard surface, the cracked screen would have nothing to do with the wifi. (And if you had, more than just the wifi would have gone bad, and it would have happened pretty soon after you dropped it.) Unfortunately, you're going to have to pay to get the wifi fixed (even if you don't want to get the screen fixed).
