Help "Cannot Copy - The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected"

Every time I attempt to send videos from my computer to my galaxy s5 it says. I managed to copy roughly 9 gb to my 64 gb card but I get this error message now. I've reformatted the sd card and reinstalled the drivers but still no joy. Any ideas???

(What's going on with this??? Isn't the S5 supposed to be a media powerhouse?)

i do not have the phone but it looks more like android related than S5 related. i have seen some users with nexus 5 (running latest kitkat?) complaining about transferring a large amount of data ( with a lot of files ). around 10~15 gb.
