In either SEUS or PC Companion. It tells you whether you have updates available and if not offers you the chance to repair it which I believe does a factory reset on it.
Sorry you couldn't solve the problem, there is obviously a glitch somewhere.
I tried to connect it with pc companion. It told me i could update the phone (probably the RB2X) but it failed 3 times. I guess i will have to try SEUS
just did the update/reset yesterday and it all worked fine, no more stuck text notifications. I just wiped everything with SEUS update (i just hope i didn't bust my download limit with the apps redownload). Updated from original R1F to R2BA020)
Thanks to all for the support, now i can at least enjoy my phone a little more. (it now seems faster and smooter with the update)
I just wonder why it didn't work (either SEUS or PC companion) with my laptop. It's a AMD X2 dual core 2.1Ghz with Win7 32bits and 3Gb or Ram. But it worked at school with a Virtual Windows Server 2003, single core 2.4Ghz and 384mb of ram!
Oh hurrah Merolas, glad you got it sorted in the end. Well done for being persistent. I did the first update on my netbook but couldn't connect the phone in boot mode (holding back button down) on it next time I tried to check for updates. Had to use our big PC. Weird.
