Cannot disable as administrator

So, I tried to remove Evie Launcher from my device and for that, I need to remove it as administrator. But whenever I try to, the settings app crashes. And it happens only for Evie Launcher, for nothing else. Any way to fix this?
Any help would be appreciated. 😀

Why do you have to remove it as admin? Did you install it that way?

I set it because of the double tap to lock the device function. I don't use anything of the app anymore and I want to get it out of my phone.

Try restarting your phone or switch to another launcher first then try disabling it again. Never had that problem when I removed Evie before.

Tried it all, restarted multiple times, tried various launchers, stock TouchWiz, Nova, Lawnchair and many else. Nothing works. Hopefully the Android N update coming will fix it.

Have you actually enabled a different launcher before disabling the Evie launcher? Seems to be logical you can't just disable a currently running launcher before enabling a different one (at any given point there needs to be one active launcher app).

I am currently using the stock TouchWiz app and not Evie Launcher. Still no success.

Maybe try changing the setting in safe mode.
