When I call to check an account or my voicemail it doesn't pick up the numbers I press. I have the Samsung Galaxy Discover. It worked for a minute the first time I did it but quit during that call.

Is the screen locked when you try it? (The phone screen will lock after you place the call - you have to press the power switch to unlock it.)
Go to Settings/Sound settings/Audible touch tones. Is that checked? You may be sending the tones, but not hearing them.
If all that's okay, call your carrier's tech support.
