Root Cannot enter recovery menu after flashing sbf

Trying to enter recovery mode after I flashed the sbf to my phone, Im trying to unroot it so I can take it into the store to get it replaced because my screen is delamming...I am at the triangle screen and when I press the volume buttons nothing happens, I cant get the menu to pop up, HELP!
 
you are my hero today, I went to vzw to try to get it replaced and the guy basically told me I was SOL without a phone.
 
so here's my next question, how do I get my kernel version back to normal now that I have flashed the sbf on my phone?
