as the title says when i plug in my phone to the pc it all installs ok apart from one thing, the MPT Device, whats it for? does it realy matter? and if i wanted to root my phone would it be needed? because as i understand you need all drivers installed correctly for a proper root to work otherwise you risk bricking your phone..
