Help Cannot find Sound Player in app menu...

Hello everyone,

I am trying to add the "sound player" onto my home screen as a shortcut, but I can't find it in the application menu. I know I didn't delete it because I see it under the applications installed section of the phone. How do i create that shortcut again??

Also, what's the difference between music player and sound player? And is it possible to listen to something in the sound player and use another app at the same time, say Whatsapp? I was surfing the net and opened a link to a music file and it started using sound player to play it. It started to play and mid way through the file I got a message in whatsapp. I went to answer it and the sound player turned off and i had to find the file all over again. Maybe I can just use another player to play the file and multitask with it.

Thanks.

I know this is kind of a mundane question, given so many people are talking about modding and flashing and other complex ideas and here I am asking about a music player, but I can't figure it out.

I have never seen an app called sound player on my phone. Are you sure it's not some sort of 3rd party functionality that came with a folder browsing app that you downloaded? E.g. ES File Manager has its own built it picture viewer and movie player.

I was also looking to put a shortcut to Sound Player but Music Player (which has the same icon) works even better as it provides a list of the downloaded content. Sound Player seems to be the default app (and maybe just a subset of Music Player) that plays an mp3 from the web or if I select an mp3 from the "download" folder. However, I can go into Music Player and select the file from there, which is a better experience than digging through a folder of files.
