Help Cannot Find Tumblr App Saved Photos

So I've been downloading pictures from tumblr on my Galaxy S4 for a while now whit no problems. I would go into my files > tumblr and then find all my pictures that I've save from the app in there.

HOWEVER! Recently, I've been downloading photos the same way I have been doing before but when I go to find those pictures again, the folder is empty. I've tried restarting my phone and checking other possible file folders (including the hidden ones) with no luck. Can someone please help me?
 
Have you updated the app at all? I have found on many occasions that after an update the permission to allow access to the file system gets turned off.

So check that first, but also note any errors that pop-up on the screen when you save an image.
 
@JAy3001 : Yes, I have double-checked and triple-checked that my app is currently the most recent version. As for the pop-ups, I had none at all. Before, when I downloaded photos, there was never a pop-up to say that it was successfully downloaded and such, only, it would always end up in the same Tumblr folder. I also checked it's permissions and it says that it has permission to access my files, as it was always allowed to before.

@Hadron : The app does NOT allow me to choose where the files get downloaded to because it always automatically went to Local Storage > Tumblr until recently. I've checked the app settings and there was nothing regarding where those files would be saved to.
 
They are not pop-ups as such. Each time you download an image a brief notification appears at the bottom of the screen stating it was downloaded or an error occurred.

I would have sworn this is a permissions issue as I've had it myself. In fact just downloaded the app and checked the permissions and it was granted none. Sadly I don't have an account anymore so cannot fully check.

I seem to remember 2 folders being created, a tumblr and one Yahoo folder. If you are sure there is nothing in the tumblr folder go ahead and delete it. Now go into the app settings and clear the data etc and turn off the storage permission.

Make sure the app is not running in the background and sign back in and see what happens when you try and download an image? Watch for a brief notification. If tumblr supports the new permissions it should prompt you to turn them on, from what ive always known it does not do this and you have to do this yourself.

Look for any notification. Now check to see if it's created the tumblr folder, if so look for the image. If not hit the permissions again and re enable the storage permission. Now try to download another image, look for the notification and check to see if the tumblr folder is now created.

Since two days ago i have been getting those ''Oops. Try again? Something goofed. Try again?'' and i cant download any picture. I tried uninstalling and installing, i checked if it had permission for storage which it had on but didnt work.

Also the dashboard loads incrediably slowly; text posts being the only ones that show up quickly, this is the first time that i had trouble with the app its kinda odd.
 
I've just had a quick peek at the latest reviews on the play store, seems several users reporting not being able to download images with the latest version. Try reporting the issue and see what response you get?
 
Yeah after i posted that i tried to delete cache and stuff didnt work either. I sent a report only to be given a copy paste asnwer, thanks for your help tho :D
 
@JAy3001 Thank you for the advice but sadly, it's not working :(

I tried going through the permissions and trying to toggle them on and off but no matter how long I spent on Google trying to figure out how to do that, it wasn't working.

Also, I didn't start getting those "saving..." "Oops, try again" notifications until after I uninstalled and then re-installed it. It probably just was an overall app bug.

Thank you for the suggestions though. I really appreciate your help ^^
