Root Cannot flash any SBF

I just got the new gingerbread rom last night (non rooted) and I was trying to reflash the SBF today with root and it continually failed. It didnt matter how many times I downloaded it, where I downloaded it to or anything. I tried renaming the SBF as well and it failed flashing immediately everytime through RSD lite. So I decided to SBF the old froyo rom and just get root through that (using z4 root) and use the zip file on my sd card to upgrade to gingerbread. The froyo rom didnt flash either and failed immediately everytime. I'm lost as to what to do and was looking for some help. Thanks!

I just tried that and I still get the error message repeatedly. I don't know what to do this is so frustrating

Im going to attempt to save my buddys phone who has the same problem.

Honestly I don't know what other alternatives to suggest. Some people have used the linux methods to flash their phones but that is outside of my expertise.

The link mentioned above will get you back to stock.
I installed the FULL SBF file and flashed it using rdslite

Got my boys droid 2 back to stock and back to running liberty 2.0

This is what i get in the device properties box when I am plugged into RSD lite.
I have uninstalled multiple times tried multiple sbfs and cannot get it to work. I was wondering if the above data looks correct for a droid 2? I was thinking with all the "N/A" in the information above it might not be recognizing it correctly?

Doesn't look like its reading it right. Make sure you have the right drivers and your RSD is up to date.

I double checked all drivers and rsd lite. I redownloaded everything for about the 4th time. I have scoured the internet for this similar problem and tried everything I can to fix it. It gives me this everytime and I just can't figure out why.. any other suggestions?

When you plug the phone in when rsd is up are you getting the yellow or green light on the com port? i cant remember which color it is that indicates that your connected properly

sorry I am replying so late but what do you mean by the com port? Im still stuck on the unrooted gingerbread by the way. Could not figure out a single solution. I used adb, z4root and pretty much everything available and sbf
