Not to be a jerk, but are you sure you're holding the speaker to your ear in the right spot? It took me a while to figure that out. If I held it too low or off to the side, I couldn't hear anything because the speaker hole is quite small.
Two comments:
1. What results do you get when you use a headset?
2. I think you would get better response to your issue if you post your question on ifixit.com. This kind of thing is right up their alley.
Did you move the ear piece from the old screen to the old one i forgot to do that and I couldn't hear anyone in calls I had to put it on speaker until I had time to get the ear piece out of the old screen

Thanks everyone! Your right jlede, I moved the speaker piece but didn't move the block that the speaker piece sits in so the speaker wasn't conducting onto the motherboard to work. doh lol.. Easy fix though so chuffed to bits! By far the best Android experience I've ever had (imo better than samsung or htc).
I would of replied earlier, but tapatalk for some reason doesn't recognise my password for this forum nor the password for tapatalk (even though I reseted it).
