Yeah, for some reason the New tab doesn't work like it used to.
This is a search link that sorts all threads by new replies that you can use while the current "New" option doesn't work:

It only shows unread new threads though, not all new.

I use this link to see threads in my Favorites that have new posts-

This used to be one of the links on the "Quick Jump" menu, the menu is gone but the link still works.
