Cannot push info to phone from market (or apps) on PC

Rock80s

Lurker
Not sure what's going on... HTC EVO 3D. Can grab apps from the market on the phone just fine, but when I go to the market on the PC it says it will install, but it just never happens.

Also have an app on the phone that I can control from the PC, but when I change settings on the PC it never happens on the phone.

It's like the phone has a firewall, blocking all things coming from outside.

Tried both of these on another family phone and they work fine, so I don't see how it could be the PC or the cell phone company.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I power cycled the phone.

Any other ideas?

Are you rooted? Do you have any anti-virus apps installed? If so, disable them temporarily. Do you have any battery saver apps, like Juice Defender? Because JD will disable your 3G/Wifi antenna and make it so your phone goes offline. If not, do you have wifi set to go to sleep? If you're on wifi when this happens, the wifi antenna will sleep to save power, and you won't be able to download anything.

Not rooted. AV is the program that has control from outside that isn't working. When removed we still can't get apps from the Market to push to the phone. No battery apps. Wifi is not set to sleep, and we were using the phone, waiting for the app from the market, when it wasn't working. So no, it wasn't sleeping.

Forgot to mention the phone is only a few days old. Not much has been installed on it yet. We were starting to put stuff on when we ran into this issue.

Is the phone listed in your devices in the web market settings?
