Cannot re-enable a "forgotten" wifi network

It seems that once I've clicked on the "forget" network button, I cannot connect to it again even if I try to manually enter it back in. Since I have both 5GHz and 2.4GHz on my home router, I tested this by deliberately forgetting my 2.4GHz network. Now if I do a wifi scan, it does not see that network. I tried to manually add it back (typing in the SSID and password), but it still does not see it. I tried rebooting both the phone and the router, but to no avail. Any suggestions?

This happened to me once and i had to factory reset my phone to get it to work again. There might be a easier solution though
