Help Cannot receive mms from specific person?

For some reason I cannot receive any mom's from my gf. She is using a jailbroken iPhone 3gs. I can send her mms and she gets them immediately. I had my friend with an iPhone 4 send me an mms and I did receive it. Running 2.1.1 rooted using Ryan's OCLF
 
The MMS file needs to be less than 600 kb.

How large is the file she is trying to send?

If larger than that, she should consider sharing via via a cloud service, like one of the two in my signature (Sugarsync or Dropbox). -- I'd recommend Sugarsync so that she doesn't have to move the video into another folder. With Sugarsync, she can sync an existing folder to the cloud. With Dropbox, you have to move the file into the Dropbox folder on your device/computer to sync to the cloud.
 
This very same thing happend to me. I have a Captivate and my friend who has an iPhone 3GS is able to receive texts and pics from me. I am able to receive texts from her but have never been able to receive pics. It doesn't even come up as an error message. It's as if she never sent it.

Today we finally figured it out. She and her husband have the same phone so she went through and looked at his settings (I am able to receive MMS from him) and there was one setting different. It was either a title or subject line setting that she had checked and he didn't. She unchecked it on her phone. Now I receive pics no problem!

AT&T Tech support was no help. They told her it had to be my phone. Didn't even go through settings on her phone. And of course when I called they couldn't figure it out b/c all my settings were correct.

It was weird and confusing because we didn't understand why it was just between us. Must be something incompatible between the two specific phones that way. I'm the only one she knows with a Captivate.

This is what my friend said she did.

On the iPhone 3gs:

Settings>Messages>Show Subject Field (Turn it off)


That's all she did and it fixed the problem. I'm guessing it's just something weird between the specific phones.

Can she try texting you using her stock app? If successful, then bitesms is the prob. If not, then it's something else.

Can't tell your ages. If she is a minor, it's possible her parents blocked your texts to her phone with SmartLimits.
 
I got it! I had her go and try sending from the stock messages app but it still didn't work. Then I had her uncheck the option to use bitesms as her default messaging app and POW! Thanks guys for the suggestions
 
no but 2 of my friends have the captivate and they both cant receive mms from me. but any other phone with there sim can, im not really sure what the deal is though.
 
My friend just had an Iphone, then he got a different phone and when he had the other he could send me picture messages, now he can't I'm not sure what kind of phone it is.
