Cannot reinstall Swype.

I am unable to reinstall Swype after I uninstalled it a few hours ago. It will download fully and then display the message "Application not installed." I have cleared absolutely everything about Swype from the phone. I uninstalled both Swype and SwypeInstaller using the following methods: Astro, Titatnium Backup, "Manage Applications", and my PC.

My phone IS rooted and runs Cyanogen 7. I can always get the SwypeInstaller to install fine but Swype always displays that error at the end. Any help would be much appreciated. (:

Are you using Swype v3? I don't know if they disabled the installer, but swype 2.x is deactivated.

Sure there is no stub? Data from the last install?
Read only, maybe?

It installs, sees an update and that craps out?
If you use the original email that got you the invite, it takes you to the latest installer, no update needed, so the install should end at 10. Then it just goes to choosing Swype as input et cetera.

Yep, it will download SwypeInstaller just fine, and that will run perfectly. But on the last step of the installation of Swype itself it will fail. Definitely no leftover data from any previous versions of Swype.

Couple of other ideas ... do you have enough memory and/or do you have your default install location set to the sd card? Swype needs to be on internal memory.
