Help Cannot remove exchange account

I am attempting to remove an exchange account I had setup but it is still there. I went to accounts and sync in the settings and removed the exchange account, but when I go to the email app the exchange account still shows up even though it is not in accounts and sync. Have tried rebooting. How can I get rid of it?

I just seen a delete option in the email app and the account is now removed completely.

Go to Settings > Security > Device administrators. Uncheck Gmail or whatever email client you used to add the exchange account. Good luck!
